From the village of Barroubiou in southern France (Hérault), it's about a kilometer's walk through the forest. Arriving at this seemingly deserted temple is pure magic (you don't realize there's a parking lot nearby, which, thankfully, you can't see). Visitors who arrive through that parking lot will never experience the same thing: the fictional desolation. The sunlight that streams in and sanctifies the altar. My friend Erwin Bogaert (1953-2013) regularly appears in my photos. In this photo, I used not only himself but also several of Erwin Bogaert's drawings and paintings. The original photo measures 250cm x 74cm or 98.42inch x 29.13inch.
